Benefits Providers

The Association of Ontario Midwives Benefits Trust (AOMBT) works in partnership with a carefully selected group of insurance and investment providers to offer our members a comprehensive plan. We select our providers through a rigorous tendering process, choosing them for their ability to offer responsive, quality and cost-effective services for our members.

Access your benefits

Log in to the relevant provider site to access your benefits, learn more about your services through our providers, submit a claim or manage your plan (for example, change your beneficiary or transfer funds).

Beneva

Beneva (formerly SSQ Insurance) provides our members and their dependents with extended health and dental, paramedical, and disability benefits. Beneva also provides our members with life insurance as well as short- and long-term disability coverage.

Desjardins Financial

Desjardins Financial administers our investment plan. The RRSP plan provides a tax-deferred savings vehicle with diverse investment possibilities and the independence to select an investment mix based on individual risk profiles. There are additional investment solutions available for future financial planning needs. Members also have access to a TFSA, a Non-Registered Plan, and Group RRIF.

TELUS Health

TELUS Health is the provider of our confidential Member and Family Assistance Program. TELUS Health counsellors provide our members and their families with access to short term counselling and information for a variety of issues, from health and wellness, to legal and financial issues.

myHSA

myHSA administers the Wellness Spending Account (WSA) for midwife plan members. This program allows midwives who choose to enrol to set aside benefits funding for wellness-related expenses.

Dialogue

Dialogue is a virtual telemedicine provider that helps our midwife members manage their wellbeing proactively and preventatively through three unique services: Virtual Care, the Wellness program, and Mental Health+. They offer fast, convenient access to health care professionals, including doctors, registered nurses and mental health professionals. Access to Dialogue is supported by a three-year grant from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

CHUBB

Chubb is our Critical Illness and Accidental Death and Dismemberment provider. Coverage includes a lump-sum critical illness tax-free benefit and additional insurance for members who choose to enrol.

Genex

Genex services provide additional support for midwives during the period when they are applying for disability leave and for those whose disability coverage has been declined. Access to Genex is offered by referral through the AOM Benefits Trust and is supported by a three-year grant from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
