Nearly a third of all AOMBT plan members responded to our 2016 survey, providing us with a wealth of information about demographics, benefits usage and priorities, and future wellness needs. Thank you to everyone who responded! Supporting our plan members by providing a comprehensive benefits plan is at the core of what we do at the Trust. The results of our survey reaffirm the importance of ensuring that the benefits program balances the needs of plan members at all life stages, and demonstrates the importance of income protection benefits such as disability and life insurance.

Figuring out when to retire, how to prepare for retirement, and what your life will look like after, are personal decisions that may be affected by many factors. To help our plan members understand how retirement will affect benefits, we've prepared a Factsheet aimed at plan members expecting to retire in the next 5 years. This factsheet includes information on the maximum age for benefits, options to continue benefits and life insurance coverage after retirement, how retirement will affect your GRSP, and the implications of working a reduced case load leading up to retirement. It also includes links to resources to help guide you through this important life event.
To access the Factsheet for your plan member group, please click below. You must be logged into your plan member account.
