The purpose of the Group RRSP is to help you save for your retirement, so think carefully before making a withdrawal. However, if you do decide to make a withdrawal, for the income to count towards the 2020 fiscal year, you need to take certain deadlines into account, depending on how you make your withdrawal request:
In January 2021, Desjardins will be sending out the year-end financial statements. To make sure that you receive them, it's important that your home and email addresses are up to date in their systems.
Log in to dfs.ca/GroupPlanMember (note that the login url is changing!) and click My profile to verify that your home address is up to date, and confirm your email addresses if you receive electronic statements.
