Like many things in life—mortgages, car leases or cell phones- after some time, you have to renew your contract. The same holds true for our group benefits plan. A benefits plan renewal typically occurs annually, however, because our contract with SSQ commenced in 2019, it has been three years since we last went through this process. As you will see below, we will be in touch with more information in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, but feel free to reach out should you have questions or concerns.
Here’s how the process works:
The AOMBT commits to being an organization that is anti-oppressive. We aim to better understand the intersectionality of oppression. We acknowledge the entrenched and ongoing history of racism, colonialization, and oppression of our Indigenous members. Finally, we aim to listen, learn, grow and become better allies in our work to support the financial, physical, and mental wellbeing of plan members and their families throughout their lives.
A word to our Indigenous members.
Air Canada and Air Transat are now refunding flights, vacation, or travel credits cancelled due to COVID-19.
Air Canada will accept refund requests for your flights, vacation, or travel credits, until June 12, 2021.
Air Transat will accept refund requests for travel credits, according to the initial method of payment, until August 26, 2021.

Thank you to all who participated in part one of the Plan Member Survey conducted by Cathexis. We’ve already received the results, and are assessing the findings. We had a great response to the first survey, which was completed by 498 members. The majority of members feel their needs are “completely” or “mostly” met by AOMBT, but there are areas where we need to do better. Read more about what members are saying in this one-page summary.
