Travelling this summer?

Before you head off on summer adventures, take a moment to make sure you understand your travel insurance.

1. Review your travel insurance coverage
   Make sure you know exactly what is and isn't included.
2. Check how long you're covered
   Is it a weekend away, or a months-long leave? Check to see if all of your days away are covered.
3. Confirm your health is stable before you travel
   Travel insurance is for the unexpected. Costs related to a known condition may not be covered—call your travel assistance at 1-800-465-2928 to find out if this applies to you.
4. Check travel advisories before you go  
   Travelleing outside Canada? The Government of Canada maintains a list of Travel advice and advisories by destination. to help you make informed decisions and travel safely.
5. Check who is covered by travel insurance 
   If you have family travelling with you, make sure their coverage is up-to-date.
6. Keep your travel assistance call centre telephone number and your policy/certificate number handy
