This fall, we will once again be going through a rate renewal for our benefits plan. This is an annual occurrence, which last year meant we saw a 10% increase to our premiums. This year, we will experience a similar increase to premiums however, to keep this increase at 9%, we have had to make some significant modifications to our plan. Understandably, this is never ideal, but necessary to ensure that we maintain a sustainable plan.

In January 2020, our benefits carrier, SSQ Insurance, joined forces with La Capitale to become Beneva. A new name, but the same caring approach based on mutualist values that reflects SSQ's motto: People protecting people.
A key step in the transition to Beneva was completed in July, when they created the @beneva.ca domain name for their email addresses.
We’re launching a new Wellness Spending Account (WSA) program! It's a new cost-effective way for you to set aside benefits funding for wellness-based purposes, in support of your physical, mental, financial wellbeing. Sign up for a webinar at noon on Thursday, June 2, to find out more.

A benefits plan renewal typically occurs annually. As you will see below, we will be in touch with more information in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, but feel free to reach out should you have questions or concerns.
