The conflict between Israel and Hamas has prompted the Government of Canada to review its advisory levels for this area, as well as for neighbouring countries. As the situation is currently very unstable, a country’s advisory status can rise to Level 4 at any time, meaning all travel should be avoided.

This change in advisory level may impact you significantly. It can:

  • reduce access to emergency medical care;
  • limit the availability of flight options;
  • restrict financial transactions.

The Government of Canada’s advisory levels are important to consider as your Travel Insurance coverage is directly linked to them.

Refer to the Government of Canada for current travel advisory levels or to Beneva’s Travel Insurance FAQ for more information.
