It’s official! As mentioned previously, our insurance carrier, SSQ Insurance, has joined forces with La Capitale and has changed their name to Beneva effective today, January 1, 2023. As always, the Trust remains committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

Plan members should expect to receive information directly from Beneva regarding these changes in the coming weeks.

There is no action required on your part, and you will continue to receive the same coverage provided under your existing plans. You will also keep using the same insurance card (policy and certificate numbers will remain the same) and forms or documents currently used under SSQ Insurance. Your needs, experiences, and customer satisfaction remain Beneva’s top priority.

Some of the information on our website, forms, and documents, may still refer to SSQ during the transition. Coverage under your existing plan, your benefits card, policy and certificate number will all remain the same, as will the usual lines of communication, phone numbers, the app, the way you submit claims, the SSQ.ca website address, and how you access the customer centre.

All channels of communication will still be accessible. The ssq.ca Customer Centre will be the same, and the usual phone numbers and customer service will still be available, should you have any questions.
